Biography
   

Andrey Yanev

Born: Bourgas, Bulgaria.

Graduated the Plastic Arts and Design High School in the town of Kazanlak, the National Fine Arts Academy – specializing in the murals class of Prof. Mito Ganovski.
Specialized in artistic enamel with Prof. Talaschuk at the VeraMouhinaArtAcademy in St. Petersburg, Russia.

1982-2011, over 50 one-man exhibitions and participations in general exhibits in the country and abroad: Sofia, Varna, Balchik, Plovdiv and Bourgas in Bulgaria, Slovenia, Greece, England, Belgium, Germany, Korea, Poland, USA, Italy, Turkey and Austria.

2011 – Participated in the Mount Athos and Bulgarian Culture project of the VUZF university
2010 – Participated in the Mount Athos and Bulgarian Culture project of the VUZF university
2009 – Participated in the Mount Athos and Bulgarian Culture project of the VUZF university
2008 – Participated in the Mount Athos and Bulgarian Culture project of the VUZF university
2007 – Participated in the Mount Athos and Bulgarian Culture project of the VUZF university

2006, 2007 – Participated in a New Bulgarian University project titled "Mount Athos in Bulgarian Culture and Letters."

Author of the exhibition series - "Silent light" and  "Silent light - Angels",  supported by the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria.
Co-author, organizator and participant in national and international children art projects, in cooperation with "Daya childrean creativity academy - DAYA CCA". www.artdarina.com

Participant and a co-founder of the festival “Artists, Balchik, Love – meeting of European seas” in Balchik.

The artist has created many works of monumental stained glass, glass mosaics, murals, enamel panels at public buildings and in private homes in the Bulgarian towns of Bourgas, Kazanlak, Plovdiv, Lom, Varna, Balchik and Sofia, the island of Santorini in Greece.

Member of the board of directors of the Bourgas Union.

Lives and works in Sofia, Bulgaria.
